Staying mild Sunday, small evening rain & snow north

The Latest Northeast Wisconsin Forecast from Storm Team 5…

For the first time since the Monday before Thanksgiving, we had highs reach the 40s, even hitting 50 degrees in Waupaca. While we are clear to start this overnight period, expect clouds to build in from the north overnight. Out the door Sunday morning, temperatures will be around 30 degrees under cloudy skies.

We are watching two areas of low pressure, one to our north along the U.S./Canadian border, and another over the central plains. We should stay dry through most of the day, but as we head into the late afternoon and evening, the system to our north will bring in scattered rain and snow showers, mainly north of Green Bay. Highs for Sunday in the upper 30s to low 40s.

This second system looks like it passes too far south to bring any significant rain, but we could see a isolated rain shower early Monday morning before the commute to work. Expect temperatures in the low 30s as you make your way to work and school Monday morning.

Looks like we could see sunshine south of Green Bay as dry air helps to erode some of clouds. This will be our warmest day for a while, with highs in the low to mid 40s. After Monday, temperatures take a tumble, and it will be down right cold mid week. Highs only manage the mid 20s on Wednesday and mid teens on Thursday.

Overnight low temperatures Thursday and Friday morning will be in the single digits, but feeling colder then that. Have to watch for a few passing flurries Wednesday, but overall this week looks dry.
