St. Norbert wins fifth straight behind Lux-Casco grad’s 22 points

DE PERE, Wis. (WFRV) – Entering Wednesday night’s conference matchup with Benedictine, St. Norbert women’s basketball had won four straight games against NACC opponents by an average of 16 points per contest. SNC would extend that win streak to five after taking down Benedictine 63-48.

Although the Eagles kept up with the Green Knights in the first quarter, SNC would pull away over the final 30 minutes, even holding Benedictine to just eight points in the third quarter. St. Norbert’s Taylor Thiry shot 8-for-14 from the field and knocked down all of her free throws en route to pacing the Green Knights with 22 points. The Luxemburg-Casco graduate also tallied 14 rebounds and five assists in the mid-week victory.
