Police: Fond du Lac man arrested after stabbing incident involving scissors, alcohol believed to play a role

FOND DU LAC, Wis. (WFRV) – Authorities in Fond du Lac arrested a man following a reported stabbing incident that sent someone to a hospital.

According to the Fond du Lac Police Department, on June 17 around 10:20 p.m., officers responded to a reported disturbance inside a residence in the 100 block of East 1st Street. It was mentioned that a man may have been stabbed.

Officers set up a perimeter and tried to have the people exit the house. Multiple individuals reportedly got out of the residence, but a victim and suspect did not. It was confirmed that someone was stabbed inside the residence.

The release says that officers found a 41-year-old man from Fond du Lac with a stab wound. A 45-year-old Fond du Lac man was taken into custody.

The man with a stab wound was sent to a hospital with a non-life-threatening stab wound to his back.

Authorities say that scissors were involved in the stabbing and were found and collected by officers. Alcohol consumption appeared to play a role in this incident, according to police.
