Outagamie County adding track chairs, enabling better park accessibility

APPLETON, Wis. (WFRV) – The Outagamie County Aging and Long Term Support Division partnered with the Outagamie County Parks Department to provide two tracked wheelchairs for people with mobility challenges.

The partnership used Transportation Grant Funding for the chairs, which are free to reserve on a first-come first-serve basis for up to two hours.

A reservation can be made by calling the Outagamie County Parks Office for Plamann Park, while a direct call to Mosquito Park can reserve usage at the Nature Center.

Each reservation comes with a designated trail map, and machines must remain at their respective reserved location.
