Massive drug and gun bust in Texas tied to Wisconsin investigation: 50 kilos of cocaine, 35 guns seized

(WFRV) – A significant drug trafficking case came to light when the Waukesha County Drug Task Force identified a suspected dealer in the Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas area who was believed to be supplying southeastern Wisconsin with various illegal substances.

According to a Facebook post from the Waukesha County Sheriff’s Department, they’ve been collaborating with the DEA’s Fort Worth Office, launching an extensive investigation that resulted in a major bust in August 2024.

The operation led to the seizure of large amounts of illicit drugs and firearms, including:

  • Approximately 50 kilograms of cocaine
  • 1 kilogram of methamphetamine
  • 1 kilogram of heroin
  • 10,000 fentanyl pills
  • 1,000 MDMA pills
  • 16 pounds of marijuana
  • Over 35 firearms

Law enforcement says this success marks a significant milestone in reducing the availability of dangerous substances in Waukesha County and southeastern Wisconsin.

The Waukesha County Drug Task Force, in partnership with federal agencies like the DEA, continues to combat drug trafficking and its associated violence, bringing tangible results to the community.
