ASHWAUBENON, Wis. (WFRV) – There are major highs and lows every year during March Madness and on Friday night Marquette fans experienced one of those lows.
“Up and down, really down in the start and then it got positive but then they faded down the stretch,” said Adam LeFevre a Marquette diehard fan who watched the Golden Eagles’ game at Stadium View in Ashwaubenon on Friday night.

Unfortunately for LeFevre, Marquette fell to the New Mexico Lobos 75-66. However, there is a silver lining for him.
“I only had them going one round,” LeFevre said when asked if the game busted his bracket. “I’m not a Marquette homer, love them, I’m a diehard fan, but I didn’t take them more than one round.”

Another Marquette diehard Emilie Harwood said she saw this loss coming after the Golden Eagles inconsistent regular season.
“At the beginning I just knew it wasn’t going to be a good game, I though maybe in the second half they could pick it up but no,” she told Local 5 News.
