The latest northeast Wisconsin weather forecast from Storm Team 5…
You may want the umbrella for the beginning of the day as a line of showers and thunderstorm will cruise through this morning. Heavy pockets of rain, lightning and small hail are possible in any thunderstorms. A light mix may occur up north where temperatures are cooler.
After drying out today, another batch of scattered thundershowers or a wintry mix will form this evening up north, then slowly drop south through the overnight. More hail could form in any thunderstorm, plus we’ll keep an eye on temperatures as below freezing air temps near the ground could bring some icy conditions, especially over the northwoods.
The part of the storm system we must really focus on will occur Saturday evening through Sunday. Widespread rain, freezing rain, and finished off with a little bit of snow as the main storm wraps into the state. Slippery travel is anticipated where wintry weather occurs.
Morning rain and thunderstorms Friday, then partly sunny in the afternoon – sunnier in the southern end of the area. Temperatures will depend on the warm front, taking highs to 55 in Green Bay, 30s and 40s north, and 60s and 70s south!
Tonight, partly to mostly cloudy with a band of rain, t-storms or icy showers may occur. The low is 35 degrees, cooler up north that brings on that ice threat.
Clouds and scattered rain showers Saturday afternoon. By the evening, rain will turn into freezing rain over a good portion of the area. Watch out for slippery conditions. The high during the day is 40 degrees.
Messy weather Sunday with more rain, areas of freezing rain, plus some light snow at night. The high is 37 degrees.
