The Latest from Storm Team 5…
Snow has begun to exit over to Lake Michigan at this time and will continue to do so this evening. While we still have a Winter Weather Advisory and Winter Storm Warning in place until 8pm, the National Weather Service has been canceling them for our western counties. I expect the remaining counties under these headlines will see them be canceled earlier then 8pm.
If you have any snowfall totals, please send it to us with a photo! Looking like we saw a widespread 3-7″ of snow, with a few isolated higher totals and slightly less south of Oshkosh. More to come in a separate report later this evening.
Tonight, with a fresh snow pack and clearing skies, temperatures will take a tumble. Lows will fall into the single digits, but thankfully our winds will no be strong. This will bring in wind chills between -5 and -15 tomorrow morning. Watch for slippery spots on untreated or lesser treated surfaces.
Plentiful sunshine tomorrow, highs recover into the middle and upper teens to around 20. Plan for a cold morning at the bus top on Monday, with lows on the either side of zero degrees. Highs Monday in the teens once again.
Monday night a weak disturbance will pass us by and in those clouds could be a few light snow showers or flurries, should not be much of an impact. Quiet once again on Tuesday before our next chance for wintry weather moves in Wednesday. Flurries for most, but areas along the southern lakeshore could pick up some light accumulations. Have to watch a possible system for next Saturday also.
