Wisconsin police looking for suspects who approached middle schoolers while walking to school

MADISON, Wis. (WFRV) – Wisconsin police are investigating two separate but similar incidents in which middle school students were approached by a stranger while walking to school.

According to the Madison Police Department, the incidents occurred on Wednesday. The first involved a student walking to Toki Middle School who was approached near Leland Drive and Balsam Road.

The student said that a man pulled over in a car, offering a ride, indicating that he worked for a rideshare company. The incident was reported on Thursday, with the student describing the driver as a white man in a silver/grey sedan.

The second incident occurred on Wednesday morning as well, with a group of Toki Middle Schoolers reporting that a black man in a grey/silver sedan pulled over and motioned them to get in his car.

Extra patrols are in the incident areas as a precaution. No more details were provided.
