Salvation Army of Greater Green Bay hosts annual Fall Harvest Festival

GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) – Held by the Salvation Army of Greater Green Bay, the annual Fall Harvest Festival took place on Thursday evening.

The event, which featured family-friendly activities included a wide variety of things to do:

  • Trunk-or-treat
  • Face Painting
  • Games

Nicole Hanley, the marketing specialist for the Salvation Army of Greater Green Bay, said the event is an opportunity for families to come out and enjoy free fun.

“We invite all area families to come out and spend time together while enjoying themselves,” Hanley said.

The idea of making it free stems from the Salvation Army’s desire to provide a safe space to meet people and enjoy things at no cost.

“We really believe in providing a safe space where families can come and enjoy a free event to either spend quality time with family members or meet new people in the community, Hanley said. “A lot of that is thanks to volunteers that come out and help at these events.”

Those who were in attendance varied in their costumes as families got to enjoy food while spending a fun evening together in advance of Halloween.
