Former Packers WR to reconnect with Aaron Rodgers following trade

UPDATE: The trade is official, according to the New York Jets social media.

(WFRV) – After a 23-20 loss to the Buffalo Bills on Monday Night Football, the New York Jets are looking to solve their offensive woes by trading for former Packers wide receiver Davante Adams.

As first reported by the NFL’s Ian Rapoport, the Jets are sending a conditional third-round draft pick, which could become a second-rounder, to the Las Vegas Raiders for Davante Adams.

Adams has spent two seasons with the Raiders and totaled 18 receptions, 209 yards, and one touchdown in his third year with the team before missing the last two games with a hamstring injury.

Adams, who former Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers has thrown the most career touchdowns to (76), will now reconnect with the quarterback in New York looking to build on the work they had first done together for eight seasons in Titletown.

The Jets will have to monitor Adams’ recent hamstring injury but the first time seeing Rodgers and Adams in game action on the field together could come as early as this week’s Sunday night game in Pittsburgh.
