Garrett Borns is a singer songwriter from Michigan. BØRNS released his debut single “10,000 Emerald Pools” in October 2014. Growing up in Grand Haven, Michigan, Borns immersed himself in arts. At the age of 10, he was a professional magician.By 13, he had won a National Scholastic Art Award along with a college scholarship to Kendall College of Art and Design in Grand Rapids
2013: Career beginnings[edit]
In 2013, Borns took a vacation from New York City, where he was living, to Los Angeles. It was then that he called Los Angeles home. Within weeks of relocating, Borns wrote his single “10,000 Emerald Pools” with Jack Kennedy. On November 10, 2014 Borns released his debut single on Interscope Records, “10,000 Emerald Pools” along with the releases of his debut EP Candy.
2015–present: Candy EP and touring[edit]
BØRNS has made several television appearances, On January 6, 2015 Borns performed his single “10,000 Emerald Pools” on Conan. He then preformed on Le Before du Grand Journal in France on March 5. On March 30, 2015, Borns performed “Electric Love” on Late Night with Seth Meyers. BØRNS has been touring and playing many festivals since the release of Candy. From between February 26 and April 1, BØRNS played 20 shows alongside MisterWives on MisterWives’ “Our Own House Tour”. On June 24 2015 he will play a headlining show at The Electrowerkz in London, UK. From July 21 to August 14 (excluding Lollapalooza Weekend) BØRNS will accompany Charli XCX and Bleachers on their “Charli and Jack Do America Tour”. In between, BØRNS plays a Lollapalooza set on July 31. [6BØRNS will play Life is Beautiful Festival between September 25-27 and Austin City Limits Festival between October 2-4.
